Fiendz

Cole

Fiendz make catchy alternative-pop reminiscent of bands like The Go-Betweens and The Rembrandts. The tunes are just the right length (below three minutes) to achieve massive radio airplay success. The production is excellent (thick and rich guitars, tight drums) and the songs in this release are consistently good. The use of the clavinet and the Hammond adds a nice touch. Cooler tunes include Listen to Me, One I Dream About, Colorblind, Jack's Bistro (which borders on keyboard-drenched heavy rock), and Gropper. The nine minute "jam" on All My Own is pretty cool too.
