Glenn Hughes

Crystal Karma

There are clearly times when Glenn Hughes' latest release resembles old Deep Purple, perhaps more so than recent Purple works have. But that comparison alone doesn't do this album justice. The album has its heavy parts and there is a definite industrial flavour to the songs. The vocals are pretty decent. Best of all, there is some excellent and rich keyboard/organ work. It's hard to predict the market for music like this today, for better or worse, but this is a fine album by any classic rock standards.
