Connected to the Unexpected

This is great synthesiser driven music, mixed with a good dose of jazz and hip-hop. The programming is pretty innovative, and the drums, even though electronic, do interesting things to keep the listener continually engaged. The trumpet, trombone, and the tenor sax all interact brilliantly with the traditional guitar, bass and vocal tracks. The vocals are usually sung in rap-style, but the rare vocal melodies are really catchy. I think the rap-like vocals detract from the music rather than add to it. This is definitely worth checking out if you're into good dance music.
