Speechless is a stereotypical love story between two speech writers played by Michael Keaton and Geena Davis. The major thing going for this love story is the fact that Keaton and Davis are writers who are on the either side of the two opposing political parties. There is nothing original about this movie from any other love story, but there is enough humour in it to keep you laughing. While both stars of the movie do a decent job in terms of acting, it never really takes off. Christopher Reeve is stunningly handsome as usual, but even he does little for the movie. I'd wait for it to come out on video.
