Return to the Apocalyptic City

One of the front runners of thrash metal. This is a collection of some of their coolest stuff. Check out this album if you are into thrash, particularly for Disciples of the Watch.

The Gathering

Fierce aggressive hard-core thrash with industrial influences aptly describes Testament's latest release, The Gathering. The godfathers of thrash return with a powerful and energetic album that showcases some of the greatest talents in the metal world today: Chuck Billy deep-throated vocals, Eric Peterson and James Murphy (Death, Obituary) on brutal guitars, Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Sadus) and Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Grip Inc.) on an aggressive rhythm section. The guitar solos are the highlight of this album, particularly in tracks like Eyes of Wrath and Legions of the Dead. Three Days in Darkness, Riding the Snake, and Allegiance are reminiscent of Testament classics like Souls of Black. The Gathering is a real head-banger and I highly recommend it.
